Before setting off, remember that Lestange offers exceptional parkland to enjoy : including a forest with some century-old trees ; oaks, hornbeams, laurels.... and a green space especially created for meditation, with 45 old plane trees to walk around or lie under on grass that is forever green. This environment is a place to enjoy a dreamy walk along the cool, shady paths, under the leafy branches.
Château Lestange, located in the l'Entre-deux-Mers region, between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers is also on the road to the two UNESCO world heritage sites : Bordeaux (14 km) and its splendid 18th century quayside, and Saint-Emilion (47 km) and its famous wine estates.
The Médoc peninsula is near Bordeaux and Margaux is 45 km from Lestange. In the space of one hour, the visitor can enjoy a complete change of scene with the blue waters of the Bassin d’Arcachon, its coastline of blond dunes and lagoon of fishing villages. Sainte Croix du Mont and its famous white wines is a short trip from the château. And finally, by crossing the Garonne river, you can discover the Graves region with its unique dry white wines. For cultural activities, Bordeaux and its many cultural events is a must. Not forgetting of course the Entre-Deux-Mers area and its packed programme of artistic and cultural events : music festivals, creative encounters, fairs and various festive venues.
